Surface-mounted shutters SK, SKE, SKP — universal solution for existing buildings without facade modification
Shutters of the SK, SKE and SKP systems are designed for use in existing buildings. These products require no special preparation for installation or modification of existing structures, as they are not integrated with the windows. Installation can take place at any time — products are fixed to the window profile (in reveals) or directly to the wall.
For reveal installation, Aluprof recommends semi-oval SKP boxes that blend well with external walls, or SK and SKE systems with boxes cut at a 45° angle.
The shutter curtain is typically manufactured from high-quality aluminium sheet filled with polyurethane foam with a two-coat paint finish (PU/PA system) — for enhanced abrasion and weather resistance. Extruded aluminium and plastic profiles provide greater rigidity and stability. Surface-mounted shutters integrate with insect screens — insect protection in summer and reduced heat loss in winter.
